Where We Draw the Line
Most clothing brands ask you to choose. Soft or stylish. Safe or cool. Affordable or well made. We don't think that's a real choice. We think it's just where most brands stopped trying.
Apricots started as a solution for our own family. My husband is allergic to something most people never think twice about, the nearly invisible fuzz on stone fruit. My own skin reacts to fabrics that don't. And when our son was born, gentle stopped being a nice to have and became the whole point. Whatever touched his skin was touching his nervous system too.
So this is where we draw the line:
- Fabric first.
- Quality you can feel against your skin, not just see in a product photo.
- Gentle by default.
- Safe for sensitive skin, safe for a newborn, safe for everyone in between. Not a sensitive skin line, just the standard.
- Style, never sacrificed.
- Clean, simple, well fit. The kind of streetwear you actually want to wear, not something that just happens to be safe.
- Accessible, not exclusive.
- Quality shouldn't come with a luxury markup. We know. That's exactly what started this.
That's the line. Everything we make has to cross it.
